Arcady Mag is a cool deal out of Melbourne it's a lil' online mag non profit yet um none of us here can understand how they work around time to put so much effort in and get nothing in the mirror. Click over another hit on their server and feel free to have a browse around. This issue they have some interesting write ups on NYC's Shy Child. Mid Juggers + lots of titty bits just adding to the fun. This is an extract of a review I did of Parklife Sydney to save their asses before the deadline of issue 8. Issue 7 is about to drop so check back any chances you get. Oh and hot off the press #7 will feature (i heart hiroshima shooting at unarmed men lawrence leung art of fighting soft tigers (Numero Uno in the digging department atm) vasco era. 747s expatriate/the cops damn arms new young pony club)*Note check the bumblebeez interview a few issues back. "Let's rewind this straight from the top. Being so drunk or should I say "merry" as thesaurus com likes to dub it seeing 2 stacks 3x3 high/wide of MarshallSpeaker-boxes rolled out on the stage just a few feet away had me twittering like a leaf on a wintering tree wondering again if my drink had been spiked. But as soon as everyone’s favourite French duo dropped their LP intro 'Genesis' I realized that I wasn't dreaming and yes the 18 amps weren’t just being all ACDC; there fo’ show. Vibrating our nostrils and skipping heartbeats with their infamous bass lines and a some amazing reworks of a couple of the acapella’s that set their path in stone to the premier set-times of festivals and shows across the galaxy. Justice put down a set to rival any act you will see / have ever seen our leather wearing French friends did planet earth proud. Moon walking back through my alcohol inhibited memory I also remember Busy P doing his croissant thing getting all freaky dropping U2 as the opener which sent most of our eyes down on our liquid in search for anything colorful or freaky but no wait why did I even mention that part; he dropped KILLING IN THE NAME OF sending the big biker dude to my left all the way to his 11th pill in style. K. I. M obviously not content with his stage time earlier had a bit of a dance with his main Mr Tsubi (Dan Single part owner of T/Ksubi) before getting tackled off the stage by an overprotective unaware security guard. I would be lying if i was going to go on andsay that Busy P is not the premium party man around in 2007 whether it be behind the decks orbehind the desk justifying my theory that if the whole world was made up ofTeenage myspace com hipster bloggers we'd all be hailing King Pedro. Digitalism and MSTRKRFT did what they were paid to do. Kept kids dancing whilst shooting their club bangers directly into the blood streams of everyone witnessing affirming that the token Sydney squeeze-in that Jens dropped in "Homezone" was no lie. ‘We have the biggest party ever… in Sydney'. Goose's live performance is the exact antithesis to their name; dynamic and inspirational enough to make any kid want to go out and buy a midi keyboard and pirate some software. Mood changing - Black gloves sent the majority of the unsuspecting uninformed crowd into a spiral with every slurred key and strum. All in all it was stadium rock for fashion ravers. Cajuan’s set was invitingly interrupted by an 'artist drink pass' which unexpectedly ended up in our hands but from what i could make out from beyond all the red bull vodka’s and groupie guys his track list and mixing sounded on par to what I'd expect out of any premier euro dance act. You know you had a fun day when the day after your sitting on your computer typing a review whilst feeling like you have vodka oozing on tap bleeding straight from every pore on your body. Did someone say there were other stages?" (arcady mag issue 8)
Justice were average sounded like they played phantom their whole set expected a lot more. Didnt look like they were into it either for my fav producers in the whole universe it was a let down and so was the sound qual at water stage.. Even being up the front of it the whole day i could still have a clear conversation with a mate next to me without going what?????Digitalism were a joke,Ajax got all ghetto on us... Busy p was just funny. Sets of the day goto kato, goose, mstrkrft and gus and doom for playing the new white noise remix of oh i like. LoveRuckus (ghetto)
