What a great pass! Both kids hit their respective football games Friday night and the weekend was filled with fun and frolic. I again and much to my chagrin ,tooled around the pool in my float and went out to dinner with the "girls from the 'hood" while the guys did their conceive of football thing. Good thing they use the word conceive of in front of that because I'm not sure that I "get it". But if it makes them happy then hey! I'm all for it. Today I went to church to Jared's soccer game to the grocery and then came home to a house full of company. Never a dull moment around here. I'll tell ya. Dave ventured into the restrict pizza realm last night for dinner and I went to sleep with a garbage can between him and me (how romantic). Enough said in that realm. He's received some but not all rash relief by increasing his pred so that's a temporary GOOD! and pretty much that's all there is to say. Love the weekends.. mean it! Written by | |

It dawned on me today that i'm not sure I mentioned how our appointments went at Duke last week. Dave gained 5 lbs! Woohoo! Our waif is making a comeback. The dermatologist biopsied his rash and that came back as showing an allergy to a medicate which is finally rearing its ugly continue as they are backing him off the steroid that was apparently masking the allergic reaction. (And when I say steroids.... No! He is not like Arnold or someone from the WWF) He is itching like crazy and though they took him off the drug they thought was the culprit the jury is still out on whether or not that was really the medicate. He IS on several afterall. Nothing either over the counter or prescribed seems to be helping the itch and the poor guy continues to experience but happily for the most part. We get the stitches removed today at our local doctor and maybe she'll have something to furnish in the way of relief but I won't be holding my breath. No offense to her. Things here continue to be busy. Mostly I conclude like I've been mowed over by a truck but that might have something to do with my lifestyle of late and also the fact that my body may be catching up after the last year of stress. Either way. I may have a nap in my come future again. Oh well. I got to go in and volunteer today at Jayna's high school this morning for a little and it was so nice to see everyone again. Next week. I'll divide my Tuesday between both kids' schools. Crazy but even though they're both in high school now. (can you accept it?). I desire being connected. After all it takes a village right? I do accept that next week. I'll be subbing again too. It's nice to be approve in the game! Written by | |
